Child Led Class Reflection.

We have been learning about how the moon looks different because of it’s position in it’s journey around the Earth and how much of the sun’s light is shining on it.

Class Reflection led by children from Year 5.

Phases of the moon using Oreo biscuits.

What fun we had today filming the video trailer for the Hagley Pyramid Concert! The theme this year is disco fever and we dressed for the occasion!

Thank you to Mrs Ray for organising the fantastic DAB ASSEMBLY. Year 5 DAB buddies got their message out very clearly and the toothpaste challenge really helped the children to understand that once said, unkind words are nearly impossible to take back, just like trying to put toothpaste back in the tube again! Well done everyone!

Year Five Anglo-Saxon Day

Wow! What a fantastic day we have had in Year 5. Such amazing costumes and high quality project work. We really enjoyed showing off our hard work in our class exhibition!

OLSK DAY OF PRAYER

In the morning we a beautiful assembly led by Mrs Turner and in class we reflected on St. Teresa of Avila’s special prayer - “Christ has no body.”

During the day we visited the hall to meditate and pray. We ended our special day with a whole school service of prayer, each class read a prayer or sang. Year 5 sang a hymn called, “Jesus you can use my hands.”

Today we had a fabulous day out in Birmingham! First we visited the Museum and Art Gallery to have a look at the Anglo-Saxon treasure hoard. Then we popped into the Central Library and had lunch on the garden terrace before settling down with a good read in the children’s library. It was a fun day but we were exhausted when we finally got back again to school!
