Our Class Saint

Our Class Saint is Saint Francis of Assisi

St Francis was born in Assisi, Italy in 1181.
He was born into a very wealthy family but he decided to give up all of his worldly possessions to follow God.
He is known for being the Saint of all animals.
St Francis died in 1226 and was canonized just 2 years later in 1228.
Our current Pope took the name "Francis" after him.
The Feast Day of St Francis is on 4th October.
