Week beginning Monday 29th June
A big hi from me and Mrs Sweeney!
Have you been inspired by Glastonbury this weekend?
We've had so much music on in our house this weekend. I forgot how much music makes you feel better. Mr Mitchell and I are normally at Glastonbury - and we relived joyful memories and watched with hope for a future full of fun, music, family and friends.
The Arts (music/drama/art) are a way of expressing how we feel.Thank you for all the wonderful art pictures on Purple Mash. Why dont you have a go this week at creating your own music or art or poetry - or even writing and performing a play? Express yourself!
Week beginning Monday 22nd June
Mrs Sweeney and I send you love and hugs. We hope you are all well and safe.
Thank you for your continued hard work on Purple Mash. There's lots of new activities for you to do this week.
We'd love to hear what you've been up to, so share your news with the class on our blog.
I've just bought a running buggy so I can take Alexander with me when I go running. It's really fun - but hard work on the hills!
Take care and stay safe. We are looking forward to the sunshine coming this week!
Week beginning Monday 15th June
Hi Year 3,
Mrs Sweeney and I send you are love and prayers. We are both well and busy - although we miss you very much. Mrs Sweeney has been celebrating a special birthday today, so I am glad the sun was shining for her!
Thank you for your continued hard work at home - and for looking after everyone in your families. I hope you've been able to go for some socially distanced walks or garden meet-ups with friends and family. I know it's really helped us to be able to do that.
There's plenty of new work on Purple Mash, plus a few new bits in our topic area, as well as in our Maths and Literacy folders. Try and read regularly and practise your times tables as often as you can.
But most importantly, look after yourselves and your families, be kind, pray for those in need and appreciate the beauty all around us.

What a shame about all the rain this weekend! We have been thinking about you this weekend, on what should have been your First Holy Communion. Sending you all love and prayers. Let's hope we get a sunny day when we do come together to celebrate.

Hi Year 3! I hope you and your families are well. Hasn't the sunshine been glorious?!
Mrs Sweeney and I are looking forward to seeing more children back in school tomorrow. We are sorry that Year 3 cannot come back into school yet.
We are especially thinking of you all this week, as this would have been the week leading up to your First Holy Communion. We look forward greatly to when we can celebrate the Sacrament of the Eucharist with you.

As we are now in the Summer Term, have a look at our research questions under 'Summer Topic' and start exploring the Mediterranean! One of our questions is all about Picasso. You might want to recreate some of his famous artwork or try your own pictures using his style. There's a purple mash activity to do on Picasso. One of our additional Purple Mash activities for the next few weeks is a leaflet about Rome. Remember you can do this on powerpoint or on paper if you would prefer.
